We are pleased to announce that we have been nationally recognized in 2023 and 2024 for having a save rate of over 90% which gives us the title as a NO-KILL shelter. Our save rate for the past two years has been around 97%. We have always been a NO-KILL shelter. 2023 was the first time we shared our data nationally. The reason 90% is used for a benchmark is because shelters will have some animals that come in that are not able to be saved such as medical issues, injuries, sickness or aggression issues.
We would like to thank Dr. Elsey's for their generous support for the Taylor County WI Humane Society. They donate several pallets of cat litter a year to us.
